Hi there! I’m Carol. I’m originally from California, lived in North Carolina for a spell, and now reside in New York. I’ve got a keen interest in literature, history, and more recently, cooking.
Growing up, I enjoyed a lot of good food, from the German recipes my grandmother brought with her from her homeland, to the spaghetti my father made that tasted even better as leftovers. However, I never really moved beyond helping out in the kitchen myself.
It’s time! I’m ready to learn the domestic side of life. I need to understand everything-from kitchen basics to gourmet tricks. I’ll make mistakes, have some successes, and have a lot of fun doing it. I hope you’ll join me.
Oh, and it would be remiss of me if I did not include Darby in this bio. Actually, he really must be included in everything. He’s a schnauzer, it’s kind of what they do. He’ll be around quite a bit-taste-testing everything possible, and including his favorite products, and being generally involved. Like I said, that’s what he does. “Involved” is a much nicer word than “nosy” isn’t it?
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, suggestions, recipes, or silly jokes.
